November 15 - Wine Tasting: The Many Faces of Nebbiolo

Tracing its roots back to Roman times, the nebbiolo grape is the main actor in some of Italy's greatest and best known wines from the Piemonte region, including Gattinara, Barabaresco and Barolo, "the king of Italian wines."  So revered is the grape that the penalty for destroying a vine in the 15th century was the loss of a limb.

Spend an evening with wine expert Ian Kraft of Free Run Wine Merchants tasting and learning about this highly tannic and extremely ageable grape.  You'll enjoy four nebbiolo-based wines, each paired with a food tasting that is designed to enhance the flavors of both the food and wine.
