Via Umbria will take guests on a tour of Alto Adige, one of Italy’s most culinarily diverse regions
Via Umbria is dedicated to the mission of bringing authentic and little known Italian cuisine to the heart of Washington through cooking classes, dinners, and wine tastings. Throughout the summer months, guests can go on a tour of Italy week to week as they explore the culinary and oenological histories and traditions of its different regions.
During the week of July 25-31, Via Umbria will take guests on a tour of Alto Adige, one of Italy’s northernmost and most culinarily diverse regions. With unique dining events from Thursday July 28- Sunday July 31 guests will have several opportunities to experience the distinct Bavarian and Austrian inspired culinary culture of this region.

Series of Cooking Demonstrations and Dinners to Highlight Sardinian Cuisine
Next week, Via Umbria celebrates the Mediterranean cuisine and culture of the mystical island of Sardinia with a series of events, including an intimate Demonstration Dinner, a CYOB (Choose Your Own Bottle) Dinner featuring Sardinian staples, a Bottomless Brunch with a Mediterranean-inspired menu, and week long Sardinian wine specials in the café. There’s no better way to discover and celebrate the beautiful island province, shaped by its own language and traditions and steeped in its own cuisine and culture!
