100% Sagrantino grapes. Made from grapes that were harvested by hand in the designated Montefalco region, this wine matured in oak barrels for 18 months. Benincasa makes a fruit-heavy, very tannic Sagrantino that fits the wine's reputation. With its dry notes of tobacco and blackberry, this wine pairs well with stronger aged cheeses and red meats. 50% Grechetto, 50% Trebbiano Toscano Aged in steel tanks and controlled for temperature. The wine is bottled in February following the harvest.
