Pardi Montefalco Rosso

Pardi Montefalco Rosso

Pardi’s Montefalco Rosso blend is 70% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino, and 15% Merlot and Cabernet grapes. Sangiovese and Sagrantino are heavy grapes, and Merlot is used to mellow the tannic flavors. The ruby red wine is aged in oak barrels for twelve months, and is notable for its fruit flavors and lingering finish. Pair with risotto, ravioli, red meat, and aged cheeses.

About the Vineyards

Cantina Fratelli Pardi was founded in 1919 by the three Pardi brothers, Alfredo, Francesco, and Alberto. The vineyard produced white and red varieties, including Sagrantino, the wine world’s rising star. In 1949, the family decided to focus on their textile business, and shut down the vineyard. In 2002, three grandnephews of the original brothers re-launched the vineyard to keep tradition alive.
