About the Vineyards

Cantina Fratelli Pardi was founded in 1919 by the three Pardi brothers, Alfredo, Francesco, and Alberto. The vineyard produced white and red varieties, including Sagrantino, the wine world’s rising star. In 1949, the family decided to focus on their textile business, and shut down the vineyard. In 2002, three grandnephews of the original brothers re-launched the vineyard to keep tradition alive.
  • Fact 1:

The wine is aged in big oak barrels from the Alps and Slovenia.

  • Fact 2:

The vineyards extend for about 11 hectares and are all located in Montefalco, along the gentle hills of Casale, Campolungo, Pietrauta and Lasignano.

  • Fact 3:

All the vines are grown with spurred cord and the plant density is 4500-5000 vines per hectare.
