Montefalco’s Tabarrini family has produced wine for more than four generations, but it was not until the 1990s when Giampolo Tabarrini’s business enthusiasm met his family’s love of wine. With pride in the local Sagrantino grape, the Tabarrinis continue to produce their signature bottles, each of which is imbued with their respect for the land and for the patience required to produce outstanding wine.

The grapes come from a silt-rich and clay soil guaranteeing perfectly ripened grapes and a powerful, deep and balanced wine. Stewed fruits, dried fruit, herbs, with fresh dill persisting in the nose. This is a full bodied wine that has the structure to permit it to evolve for upwards of 20 years. Given the high tannins, we recommend decanting for one hour prior to serving. Learn More
