70% Sangiovese, 10% Canajolo, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Roccascossa comes in the heart of Umbria, from Sangiovese, Canajolo and Cabernet Sauvignon vines. Its intense ruby red color, its persistent aroma, and its balanced fruity taste make Roccascossa the best example of the colors, aroma, atmosphere and character of this healthy fertile land, always synonymous with purity, authenticity and excellence.

About the Vineyards

The Margaritelli vineyard is located in the center of Umbria and expands over 52 hectares. Established in 1870, the Margaritelli family had a vision to combine family tradition with innovation. It is for this reason that 22 hectares of the vineyard are dedicated to experimental vines, which are then used in a small testing laboratory to explore optimum wine making processes. From the rich clay soil and at an altitude of about 250 meters, the Margaritelli vineyard produces 50,000 bottles of four different Umbrian labels each year.

    The wines are aged in special barrels from sustainably farmed forests in France.

    Around thirty hectares are destined towards the regular production and market, while the other 22 hectares consist of experimental vines.

    Altitude: 200-250 meters. Grown in clay soil.
