about Our Brunches
We host a single seating of Brunch each Sunday at 12:30pm in our demonstration kitchen. Tickets include a three course Italian-style meal that starts with a buffet first course, followed by three choices for the main course and a dessert. Bottomless Bellinis, Aperol Spritzs, or Mimosas are included and additional beverages are available for purchase. Guests sit communally at our chef’s table in our demonstration kitchen and will be able to watch and interact with our Chef as their meal is prepared. Courses are served family style and our chef will join you at every course to describe what has been prepared. A vegetarian offering may be substituted with advance request.
Brunch starts at 12:30 and you should expect to spend a couple of hours in order to fully enjoy the entire experience. Because we seat our guests communally at a single table, we ask that you arrive early to check in and enjoy a complimentary pre-brunch aperitivo. This allows us to assign seats and to seat the entire group promptly at 12:30. We will do our best to accommodate late arrivals, but several of the courses are served family style and guests that arrive late cannot be guaranteed to receive all courses.
All of our events are ticketed events with limited seating. Tickets are purchased in advance, on a first-come first-served basis until sold out. Events at Via Umbria are unique and human scale experiences that are carefully crafted to create an outstanding and memorable dynamic. By requiring pre-purchase of tickets, we minimize the frequency of no-shows and ensure that we create the best possible experience at the best possible price for what we offer
Each month’s tickets are offered for sale all at once, through our monthly event calendar, which is typically posted at least a month in advance. We provide advance notice on Facebook and Twitter a few days before posting of a new calendar. Subscribers to our newsletter are given an exclusive 24 hour pre-release opportunity to purchase tickets. For most events, the maximum number of tickets that can be purchased in a single transaction is 6, although larger groups can attempt to make multiple separate purchases. Tickets are not refundable and cannot be exchanged for a different date or time, but they are transferable to other people. Think of it like buying a ticket to a concert, baseball game, or movie. Ticket prices do not include a 10% DC Meals Tax, which will be added to your purchase, or gratuity, which is at your discretion.
