On Via Umbria Tours, every detail is taken care of so you can focus on enjoying the experience. Your guides are Bill and Suzy Menard, whose close connection to the people and customs of Italy is the result of years spent in residence and traveling the country. They will take you to their favorite restaurants, run by families who have become close friends and whose love for the land and its bounty is apparent in every dish. They’ll share with you the history and art that is found in the area’s museums, galleries and excavations, as well as in the streets of the many significant towns of the region. You’ll spend time in the company of locals who embody the hospitality and grace of Umbria.

Via Umbria offers several week-long culinary tours every fall. Over seven days and six nights, we introduce our guests to the magic of Umbria at harvest time, visiting olive mills to watch the harvest and transformation of olives into fresh oil; spending a day truffle-hunting and cooking what we find; visiting family-operated cantinas to taste Montefalco DOC wines and learn about the art of winemaking from our vintner friends; and absorbing the art of la cucina umbra.
