Chitarra - Pasta Maker
A wooden kitchen implement found across Italy, the chitarra (KEY-tar-ra) is used to cut sheets of pasta dough into flat ribbons that resemble squared off spaghetti. The secret is in the wire strings that cut the pasta sheets into individual noodles, resembling guitar strings, hence the name chitarra (guitar in Italian).
