A winery built on Roman ruins

Azienda Agricola Adanti S.A. ss.

Covering about 40 hectares of land and located in the hilly areas of Arquata and Colcimino, the Adanti Winery is most known for its Sagrantino and MontefalcoRosso wines. In the 1960’s, the Adanti brothers founded the villa Arquata, which had previously been a convent surrounded by Roman ruins. The winery uses a variety of indigenous grapes to produce its prestigious wines, such as the dry and sweet Sagrantino di Montefalco or the unique white wines of Grechetto and the Montefalco Bianco. The current owners, Daniela Pietro and Donatella Adanti, have carried on the tradition of quality production of their selected wines while keeping the region’s ancient traditions.
